On the morning the corpse of a man has been found in a bathing tank of the sanctuary of Lourdes.The police captain Fiona Langlois will be in charge of the murder investigation with a help of Maxime Gardette, a police investigator who recently has come to Lourdes.The victim , the doctor Adrien Delubachas received a hit in his head and was drowned in a bathing tank.The doctor was member of the International Medical Committee of Lourdes , a group of doctor who investigate cases of healing by miracle.

"Waiting for the Barbarians" is a unique poetic and cinematic work. The nocturnal, panoramic view of the city of Beirut shifts between the stillness of photography and the movement of animated images, through a hypnotic process of superimposing images and layering exposure times. Carried along by this passage of time and this dilution of geographical identity, a voice reciting the eponymous text by Greek poet Constantine Cavafy (1863-1933) blends in with the rhythm of the images.

Violette Toussaint, a cemetery caretaker in a small town in Burgundy, is a unique observer and a compassionate listener. Her peaceful life is filled by conversations with quirky cemetery workers and the many visitors who share their stories of love, loss, and life.
